F1's first pre-season test concluded in Barcelona on Friday, with attention already turning to the next event in Bahrain.
After three days of running at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, teams will have a week off before travelling on to the Bahrain International Circuit, where another test session will be held from 10-12 March (Thursday to Saturday).
It will mark the last opportunity for teams to log miles with their new cars before the 2022 season gets underway at the same venue the following week.
F1's second test in Bahrain to be shown live
Unfortunately for fans, this week's test in Spain was not broadcast live on television, with coverage restricted to round-ups at the end of each day.
It comes after the 2021 F1 pre-season test schedule was limited to just one, three-day event in Bahrain – but with teams keen to learn more about their new cars for this unique season, an extra three-day test was added, with Barcelona the venue.
Indeed, the Barcelona test was described by F1 as "a lower key, pre-testing track session", before the "official pre-season test" in Bahrain.
In better news for followers of the sport, the Bahrain test will be broadcast live on F1 TV, while RacingNews365.com will continue to provide live blogs.
