With just a handful of F1 seats yet to be confirmed for next year, two of those are at the Mercedes squad.
George Russell and Kimi Antonelli are experiencing their first year as team-mates, with the former winning two grands prix - including last Sunday's round from Singapore.
RacingNew365 reported earlier this week that Russell has refused several contract offers from Mercedes as he seeks better personal terms.
The Brackley-based squad is known to hold an interest in signing Max Verstappen in the future, which could impact Russell's tenure at the team.
Committing long-term to Russell could make it more difficult for Mercedes to sign Verstappen, however Toto Wolff has previously hinted he would have no problem pitching the two against one another at the same team.
As Russell looks for long-term stability, do you think his performances warrant a long-term extension?
Or do you think Mercedes would be wise to push for a fixed deal solely for 2026?
