Saturday start time for 2026 F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku
The 2026 F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix takes place today, Saturday, September 26th, with a 15:00 local time start.
The race has been moved forward from Sunday to avoid a clash with the Azeri National Day of Remembrance for those killed in the 2020 Second Nagorno-Karabakh War.
As such, organisers asked for the event to be moved forward one day, which was readily agreed.
George Russell will start from pole position, with championship leader Kimi Antonelli down in 16th after clipping a wall in Q1.
With the race due for a 15:00 local time start, it means the 2026 F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will start at 12:00 BST in the UK, and last for 51 laps.
