George Russell has made a bold prediction that Red Bull will win "every race" in the 2023 Formula 1 season after their dominant performance in the Bahrain Grand Prix. Red Bull set the foundations for a strong season by taking a one-two victory in Sakhir, with Max Verstappen registering a perfect start to his title defence. Mercedes had already played down their chances of challenging at the season-opener, with Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff admitting that the team will need to change their car concept completely. Lewis Hamilton finished the race in fifth place after losing out to a mid-race battle with Fernando Alonso, whilst George Russell fell behind Lance Stroll after the second pit stops. Speaking after the Bahrain Grand Prix, Russell believed that the performance of the Red Bull team was so dominant, that he backed them to win every race of the season.
"I don't think anybody's going to be fighting with them this year, they should win every single race this season. That's my bet. With the performance they've got, I don't see anybody challenging," Russell told media, including RacingNews365.com . "Their pace seems weaker this weekend than it was in testing, which was a bit strange, but they've got it easy at the moment and they can do what they like. "They might not get Pole all the time, because we know that Ferrari are very competitive in qualifying, but when it comes to race pace, I think they're in a very strong position." What do you think?
