Isack Hadjar is to be promoted to the senior Red Bull team to partner Max Verstappen in 2026.
The identity of Verstappen's team-mate for next season has been uncertain, with incumbent Yuki Tsunoda and Hadjar both candidates for the seat alongside the Dutchman.
Tsunoda finally received his long-awaited chance in the senior team from the 2025 Japanese GP, but failed to grasp it, and given Hadjar's strong performances for Racing Bulls, the Frenchman has been promoted for what will be just his second full season.
Hadjar's strongest weekend in 2025 came at the Dutch GP, where he qualified fourth and was set to finish there before moving up to third after Lando Norris retired for his first career podium.
He has a total of nine points finishes in 2025, having beaten team-mate Liam Lawson in the standings.
Lawson was not a contender for a return to Red Bull, with Hadjar inheriting what has come to be known as the poisoned chalice of the second Red Bull seat, with Daniel Ricciardo, Pierre Gasly, Alex Albon, Sergio Perez, Lawson, and now Tsunoda all being dropped or leaving since 2018.
