Isack Hadjar has yet to venture out on track an hour into running at the Bahrain International Circuit on the second day of the first F1 pre-season test.
The Red Bull driver is not expected to emerge from the pit lane until around midday local time, which is two hours into the morning session.
Confirmed by the Milton Keynes-based squad, it encountered a "routine issue" last night during a rebuild of the car, which is what has caused the delay in proceedings.
The team has also said that while the problem is minor, it is exercising caution, given the stage of the year. Everything at the team looks calm and under control.
Red Bull set tails wagging during the first day of running in Bahrain, with Max Verstappen topping the timing board for most of the day, and there are parts of the RB22 that are gaining considerable attention.
Various names throughout the paddock commented on how impressive things are looking for the six-time F1 constructors' champions, which is embarking on its first season under its own power, in technical partnership with Ford. There were issues, however, with the Racing Bulls power unit yesterday.
Red Bull is not planning on running any further upgrades to its car for the remaining part of the first test, but there will be new parts for the second test in Bahrain.
