Oscar Piastri was forced to retire from the Hungarian Grand Prix following a gearbox failure, cementing a horror mid-race for the Australian.
Piastri had an excellent start and capitalised on Lando Norris going wide at the third corner, before leading the first half of the race.
The McLaren driver was pitted first by the Woking-based outfit but rejoined in traffic, with Carlos Sainz hitting him while Piastri tried to lap the Spaniard.
It cost Piastri several seconds and allowed Norris to pit and claim the lead, before on lap 56 Piastri's horror 15 minutes hit a higher level with his gearbox giving way.
A virtual safety car was triggered as a result, allowing Norris and Lewis Hamilton to pit.
