Follow the Qualifying at this weekend's 2026 F1 Singapore Grand Prix live with RacingNews365, as Max Verstappen looks to continue his imperious form at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
The start of qualifying is delayed 30 minutes after the Sprint overran. Torrential rain before the start saw the 21-lap race postponed for half an hour, and then chaos within saw it run at a slower pace than usual in difficult conditions — as per the regulations, three hours between the Sprint and Qualifying are required.
Verstappen won from pole, and will now turn his attention to best setting himself up to finally triumph in a grand prix in the Southeast Asian city-state.
Only 14 runners reached the chequered flag in the Sprint, and Mercedes has a job on its hands to get George Russell's car ready after he crashed out from the lead at the end of Lap 1.
However, with the Briton consigned to the rear of the field regardless of his grid-setting exploits, the situation is not as pressurised as it might otherwise have been.
