Dynisma, the company behind several F1 teams' driver-in-the-loop simulators, has confirmed a major partnership with Italian racing chassis giant Dallara in a multi-million, multi-simulator agreement.
The deal will see two DMG360XY motion systems deployed across Dallara's operations in Europe and the United States. The first unit is scheduled for installation at the company's headquarters in Varano de' Melegari, Italy, during the final quarter of 2026, with a second to follow at Dallara's Indianapolis facility in early 2027.
Dallara is the sole chassis supplier for IndyCar, Formula 2, Formula 3 and Japanese Super Formula, and has been the manufacturing partner for the Haas F1 Team since 2016.
The DMG360XY is Dynisma's flagship platform, trusted by several Formula 1 teams as well as leading GT and endurance racing organisations. Bristol-based Dynisma was founded in 2017 by Ash Warne, a former F1 simulator engineer who previously led simulator programmes at Ferrari and McLaren.
"Dallara’s engineering philosophy places huge value on understanding vehicle behaviour
and driver perception, and we are proud to support that approach as Technical Partner," said Dynisma CEO, Graeme Cook.
"The DMG360XY platform is designed to be trusted as a primary engineering tool, and this
multisimulator agreement reflects a shared commitment to realism, correlation and
longterm technical excellence."
Three specifications define the system: latency of less than five milliseconds, motion bandwidth exceeding 100 Hz, and unlimited 360-degree yaw rotation combined with five metres of ground-plane travel. The unlimited yaw is particularly significant.
Traditional simulators must periodically reset their rotation, producing false physical cues that reduce correlation between simulator and track. The DMG360XY eliminates that problem entirely.
By deploying identical hardware in both Italy and the United States, Dallara creates a consistent simulation environment across its two principal engineering hubs, allowing engineers on both continents to directly compare results.
In a sport where physical testing is increasingly constrained, Dallara is making its position clear: the future of vehicle development runs through the simulator.
"High fidelity simulation is a strategic asset for our group. Establishing identical,
top of the range motion platforms in Italy and the United States supports continuity across
our engineering programmes and strengthens confidence in how virtual development
informs real world performance."
