Lewis Hamilton has led the charge at Ferrari over the first half of the F1 season, and the rejuvenated seven-time drivers' champion sits second in the standings coming out of the summer break.
The Briton's resurgence has placed him between the Mercedes pair of Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. And whilst he is two grand prix victories' worth of points behind the former, he is undoubtedly in the heart of a first title challenge for the first time since the ill-fated conclusion to the 2021 campaign.
Crucially, the 41-year-old has outscored team-mate Charles Leclerc by 31 points over the opening 11 rounds of the year, and as the run-in gets closer and tighter, the Scuderia may have to start asking itself some difficult questions.
Like, will the Italian team need to consider team orders in the hope of vying for its first drivers' crown since 2007?
Hamilton is, of course, chasing his own slice of history, looking to rewrite the F1 record books by finally clinching that elusive eighth title.
As such, almost 60 per cent of fans recently surveyed by RacingNews365 feel the Prancing Horse ought to start prioritising the 106-time grand prix winner over Leclerc — in a bid to end its near-two-decade championship drought.
