The Dutch Grand Prix is back on the calendar this weekend, and for the time being, it marks the last occasion Formula 1 will visit Zandvoort.
If the weather forecast holds, the drivers may have rather more to contend with than the circuit's famously demanding banked corners.
Friday's free practice session is not entirely in the clear. Showers blowing in from the sea could drift over the circuit during the afternoon, and some of those may carry local thunderstorms with them, making conditions worth monitoring closely for spectators making their way to the venue.
The wind is arriving from the west and remains relatively gentle, not expected to exceed force 2-3.
Saturday is where the forecast becomes considerably more interesting. A much greater number of showers is likely to develop across the west of the Netherlands, which places Zandvoort firmly in the firing line.
The sprint race in particular could see some heavy rainfall, and in the worst-case scenario that will have meaningful consequences for the drivers out on track.
Temperatures are expected to sit around 19 degrees, with the wind shifting to a northerly direction and running mostly at a moderate level, though gusts are possible during the heavier showers.
Sunday looks set to be the pick of the three days by some distance. A final shower may linger during the morning, but drier conditions are expected to take hold ahead of the grand prix itself, with the sun making regular appearances throughout.
Temperatures should climb to around 22 degrees, and light winds from the northwest to north round off what promises to be a considerably more settled afternoon for drivers and fans alike.
