Max Verstappen has explained the "constant fight" he is trying to overcome in his Red Bull ahead of the title-deciding Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Verstappen finished both Friday sessions at Yas Marina behind title favourite Lando Norris, with the Dutchman knowing that if he wins the race, Norris must be fourth or lower for him to secure the title.
Throughout the day, Verstappen complained of balance issues with his car, but he felt that whilst the car was in "a decent window", he was still grappling with a "constant" issue aboard the car.
"It was pretty okay, I was fairly happy with the car," Verstappen said.
"We just need to probably be a little bit faster, but we are still not quick enough, but overall, I think we are in a decent window around here.
"It seems like a decent gap that we need to close, from our side, we'll just try to put the best car forward, and yeah, let's see how much we can find overnight.
"Both single lap and long run [pace] need to be better."
When asked if the balance of the RB21 was okay after reporting problems through the sessions, Verstappen replied that "it is a constant fight and nothing new."
