Red Bull is set to sign Robin Raikkonen to its famous junior programme and support his early racing career, RacingNews365 understands.

Robin, the son of 2007 F1 champion Kimi, is currently in the karting stage of his racing venture and, at 11 years of age, is still several years away from stepping into single-seater competition.

The Raikkonen family is present at Monza this weekend for the Italian Grand Prix, and was spotted by RacingNews365 heading into the Red Bull motorhome.

Some of Red Bull's most senior figures are also present at the circuit, including co-owner Chalerm Yoovidhya and s CEO of Corporate Projects and New Investments Oliver Mintzlaff.

A formal announcement is due to come soon.

Kimi Raikkonen sits among the most experienced drivers in the sport's history, with only Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton entering more races than the Finnish champion.

The 46-year-old has long highlighted his support for his son Robin's racing career, and has posted several images of his karting activities across the last year on social media.

Red Bull has been operating for well over two decades and has handed F1 opportunities to many drivers - including several on the current grid.

For some time, it was run by Helmut Marko, who departed the squad at the end of the 2025 season.

In July earlier this year, Red Bull announced that it had signed Gwen Lagrue, with the Frenchman joining as the programme's director following 10 years at Mercedes.

It has also recently announced the signing of Tom McCullough as its Head of Racing, who will join in 2027, with the additions reinforcing its ambitions to return to the head of the F1 grid.
