The 2026 Nurburgring 24 Hours has sold out weekend tickets for the first time in the event’s history, with Max Verstappen's highly anticipated debut driving unprecedented demand ahead of the endurance race.
The event takes place at the legendary circuit, dubbed 'The Green Hell', this weekend, from 14-17 May.
Organisers confirmed that all full-event tickets have now been snapped up, with only limited day tickets remaining available for the 54th running of the Nordschleife contest.
The Nurburgring announced the sell-out across social media, underlining the scale of interest generated by Verstappen’s participation.
The four-time F1 world champion will tackle his first-ever 24-hour race as part of a Red Bull-backed Winward Racing GT3 programme, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 around the daunting 25km combined Nurburgring circuit.
Verstappen has steadily built up experience at the Nordschleife over recent months in preparation for the event. Earlier this year, he competed in Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie rounds and immediately showed front-running pace.
The Dutchman secured pole position on his NLS debut with Winward Racing before taking victory alongside Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon, although the result was later stripped due to a tyre regulation infringement.
Despite the setback, Verstappen's speed reinforced expectations that he could contend for outright victory on his 24-hour debut.
He also impressed during qualifying events held ahead of the main race weekend, with Red Bull describing the programme as proof the team can challenge at the front.
The Nurburgring 24 Hours regularly attracts huge crowds, but Verstappen's appearance has elevated interest to another level, with fans of the 71-time grand prix winner expected to travel to Germany in vast numbers for the endurance spectacle.
