Mahindra Formula E testing dominance continues as mixed weather hits Day 3

Mahindra has topped two of the four completed sessions in Formula E pre-season testing.

Mahindra's dominance of Formula E's 2026 pre-season test continued on Day 3, at what was initially a damp Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.

Early morning rain meant a damp track awaited the drivers for the only three-hour session on the third of four days of running.

It offered Formula E rookie drivers Felipe Drugovich and Pepe Marti a valuable opportunity to gather data in mixed conditions, particularly for Marti who had never driven a Formula E car prior to this week.

However, the track quickly dried despite the venue remaining overcast, with Edoardo Mortara going quickest on a 1m 21.680 – two-tenths slower than the fastest lap of the week so far, also set by Mortara.

Two of the four completed sessions have been topped by Mortara, with Mahindra team-mate Nyck de Vries ending Wednesday morning in third.

Jake Dennis impressed again and found himself in a Mahindra sandwich in second, just 0.098s adrift of Mortara's session-topping time.

Mahindra and Porsche have looked the strongest so far in Valencia, with its powertrains having mostly dominated the lead positions in every session.

The factory Porsche duo of Pascal Wehrlein and Nico Müller completed the top five, while Citroën's Nick Cassidy secured sixth.

DS Penske's Taylor Barnard, the Nissan pair of Norman Nato and Oliver Rowland and Jaguar's Antonio Felix da Costa completed the top 10.

Lola Yamaha ABT's Zane Maloney was slowest, although the entire field was separated by only 1.093s.
