Many questions remain about the pecking order of the F1 field heading into Sprint qualifying ahead of the 2025 Miami Grand Prix.
Oscar Piastri was fastest for McLaren in the sole practice session, but the likes of Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli did not get to complete their soft tyre runs due to Ollie Bearman's crash with four minutes to go.
Russell and Antonelli were running one-two after the medium tyre runs, and did not set a time on the softer rubber.
Elsewhere, new father Max Verstappen was third for Red Bull.
But who will emerge to take sprint pole at the Hard Rock Stadium?
