Racing Bulls boss Alan Permane has revealed to reading Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad "the riot act" when things have "gone a bit too far" between the pair on track.
Lawson is in his second full F1 season, whilst Lindblad has performed superbly throughout his rookie campaign with the team.
On the whole, the two drivers have combined well to elevate Racing Bulls into a healthy fifth position in the constructors' standings, nine points clear of Alpine in its tight midfield battle with the Anglo-French squad.
Their dynamic has changed since the summer break as Lawson has been 'loaned' to Red Bull for the last three grands prix, with the New Zealander standing in for Isack Hadjar, who fractured a wrist whilst boxing training in August.
Speaking to the media, including RacingNews365, Permane has at least described the relationship between his two drivers over the first half of the season as a welcome headache.
"They've been very good," said Permane. "And it's a nice problem to have.
"There have been times when it's gone a little bit too far, and I sit them down and read them the riot act and tell them there are times when we don't want the racing, when things are a bit critical, if tyres are a bit critical or if we're in the last phase of the race and we've got the points locked in.
"But generally, I'm happy for them to race each other with the one rule that they don't touch each other at all. And so far, that's been okay."
