Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher has weighed in on Isack Hadjar's explosive outburst over team radio during the United States Grand Prix.
Hadjar was audibly upset during the race last Sunday, venting his frustration after an issue arose on his car.
Speaking after the race, Hadjar admitted he was “pissed off” with the situation as he demanded fixes to the car.
Hadjar is currently enduring his first full season with Red Bull, which is also the first campaign without Helmut Marko having a say in proceedings.
Schumacher has suggested that Hadjar would have faced a lecture from Marko if the Austrian still held a role within the squad.
"I wouldn't exactly call it a lack of decency, but it is not behaviour that you should display in this way,” Schumacher told the Backstage Boxengasse podcast.
"Actually, it is a shame that Dr Helmut Marko is no longer at the team, because I think he would absolutely have drawn a line there.
“I don't think this should happen."
Schumacher added that Hadjar should look to adjust his approach going forward, stating he needs to consider the wider consequences of his words.
“One thing certainly doesn't help: the way Hadjar treats the team,” he said. “I am very clear about that.
“He really needs to leave that behaviour behind.
“He now bears too much responsibility for the team, the brand, and himself to continue expressing himself in that way."
