After a bruising 2025 that yielded zero grand prix podiums and a lowly sixth in the standings, Lewis Hamilton has turned his Ferrari fortunes around dramatically this season.
Currently second in the championship on 169 points after 11 races, the 41-year-old has taken one victory, five podiums and scored in every single race.
The contrast to last year is huge, as Hamilton finished no higher than fourth in a grand prix, ending up 86 points adrift of teammate Charles Leclerc.
This time around, his Barcelona triumph marked Ferrari's first win of the season, while consistent results in China, Canada, Monaco and at Silverstone have kept him firmly in Kimi Antonelli's mirrors, just 50 points behind the championship leader.
Hamilton kicked off the year with a fourth in Australia, before claiming his first Ferrari podium in China.
Back-to-back second-place finishes in Canada and Monaco signalled his growing command of the SF-26, and his dominant Spanish Grand Prix victory, his 106th career win and his first for the Scuderia, opened the possibility of a potential title fight.
