Alex Albon will start the Chinese Grand Prix sprint from the pit lane after Williams made changes to the set-up of the suspension on his car.
The Thai driver had qualified P18, just behind team-mate Carlos Sainz, but will not take to the grid having broken parc ferme for the alterations to his FW48.
Those who qualified behind the two-time podium finisher will move up one slot, with the grid now consisting of just 21 cars.
It was a difficult first sprint qualifying session for the Grove-based squad, with both cars knocked out in SQ1.
As a result of the parc ferme changes to his car, Albon has become the first F1 driver to start from the pit lane this season.
The order on the grid from P17, where Sainz starts, remains unchanged. The full adjusted starting grid for the Chinese Grand Prix sprint can be found [HERE].
