F1 fans do not expect Lando Norris to win the 2025 world championship, according to the results of a RacingNews365 poll.
The McLaren driver won the first four grands prix of his career in 2024, including the Abu Dhabi season-finale to hand McLaren its first constructors' title since 1998 - and indeed the first in the lifetime of either Norris or team-mate Oscar Piastri who contributed two wins to the tally.
Norris was Max Verstappen's closest challenger in the drivers' championship, but the nouse of the Dutchman in a title fight helped him get over the line, whilst Norris was experiencing an F1 title fight for the first time.
McLaren enters 2025 with its new MCL39 machine, the first car to be launched, as title favourites, but F1 fans do not believe Norris will become the 35th F1 world champion.
In a poll of RacingNews365 readers, some 50.50% of voters decided Norris would not win the title, compared to 36.63% who did.
When this latter figure is added to the 12.87% of respondents who opted for 'Not sure', the total comes to 49.50%, signalling how close the actual result was!
