The latest instalment of the Formula 1 game series has been revealed by EA Games, with the series bringing back the 'Braking Point' story mode.

Protagonist Devon Buter returns with Aiden Jackson alongside new characters, fresh rivalries, and racing challenges for the latest edition.

Las Vegas and Qatar also feature in the new game along with general improvements to the handling model based on feedback from fans.

According to EA Games, the handling has been refined to allow for more "predictable behaviour" with new physics designed to improve the cars traction when braking, accelerating, and cornering.

Other new features include the addition of 35% race distance and red flags (not seen since F1 2014), offering players an improved race strategy.

"The return of Braking Point allows players to immerse themselves in a racing story, with a host of new and returning characters and surprising twists," said Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters.

"We’re adding more race authenticity by introducing red flags and the 35% race distance, giving players more strategy and unpredictability. Our refined handling delivers more predictable behaviour and better traction to help players attack the circuit and get on the podium.”

The game will be available from June 16th across PS4/5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
