Sergio Perez kicked off the 2023 Formula 1 season by going quickest in the first practice session for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The Red Bull driver topped the times ahead of Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin with World Champion Max Verstappen third.
Elsewhere, Lance Stroll returned to the cockpit after missing testing due to his wrist injuries, but lost time during the 60-minute session due to an ignition problem on the AMR23.
