Reigning F1 World Champion Max Verstappen will line up on pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix in a Red Bull front row lockout.
The Dutchman secured a 21st career pole by a comfortable margin over teammate Sergio Perez, with the Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz slotting in behind.
Fernando Alonso will start from fifth, ahead of Mercedes pair George Russell and Lewis Hamilton for the 2023 season-opener.
The 57-lap race will start at 18:00 local time (15:00 GMT), with warm conditions expected throughout.
