Charles Leclerc's victory in the 2026 British Grand Prix was the 250th for the Scuderia in the F1 world championship - and it had a nod to the very first.
Leclerc claimed his first victory in 20 months for Ferrari at Silverstone for his ninth grand prix win - 75 years on from when the Scuderia claimed its very first victory.
That came in the 1951 British Grand Prix, also at Silverstone, when Argentine Jose Froilan Gonzalez comfortably beat the great Juan Manuel Fangio home to record the first world championship victory for Enzo Ferrari's team.
Ferrari is one of only two teams to win over 200 grands prix, with old rivals McLaren the only other, currently sitting on 203.
However, although Ferrari has now reached 250 grand prix wins, Ferrari engines have actually won 251 grands prix.
This extra win came via Sebastian Vettel in his iconic 2008 Italian GP performance for Toro Rosso - using customer Ferrari engines. Although Ferrari has had long customer deals with the likes of Sauber, Haas, Toro Rosso, and once even Red Bull, Vettel is the only driver to win for a Ferrari customer.
