Sam Bird thanked negative media for giving him "motivation", after sensational last-lap move on former teammate Mitch Evans saw him win the São Paulo E-Prix.
The victory marked Bird's first since the Season 7 New York E-Prix and McLaren's first in Formula E. Bird's win made him the second-oldest driver to win in the all-electric series, and moved him to just one victory away from matching the all-time record.

Formula E CEO on F1: 'We do not want to be that sport'
Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds has stressed that he does not want Formula E to become like F1, where as things stand competition is at an all-time low.

Evans: Last lap like driving a 'Gen1 car'
Mitch Evans has admitted that his first podium of 2024 was "bittersweet", as an overheating battery on the final lap made his Jaguar I-TYPE 6 feel like a "Gen1 car".
Evans started the São Paulo E-Prix in fourth and remained in the leading group for the entire race, before taking the lead in the closing laps. It appeared that he timed his move to perfection, only to suffer from de-rating on the last lap.
Overheating batteries a 'first' for Gen3 – Rowland
Oliver Rowland explained after finishing third in the São Paulo E-Prix that it was the "first" time the drivers had to deal with overheating batteries in the Gen3 era.
The fourth round of Formula E Season 10 took place in scorching conditions, with the air temperature having been a mighty 35 degrees Celsius, whilst the circuit was measuring 60 degrees Celsius.

Formula E announce game-changing manufacturers trophy
For the first time in Formula E history, the sport has announced that a manufacturers trophy will be introduced this year, in what is a game-changer for the all-electric series.
Since Formula E's birth, only the Drivers' and Teams' Championships have existed, however, now the powertrain suppliers will be fighting for bragging rights.

Thailand express interest in hosting Formula E
Thailand's Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has expressed his intent on Formula E racing in the southeast Asian country in the near future.
Formula E has never raced in Thailand, although there is a chance that the all-electric series could be venturing to the nation very soon. The government in Thailand want to host a Formula E race, with Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds having met the Prime Minister last week.
