Antonio Felix da Costa has revealed that he is eager for his rivalry with former Formula E team-mate Pascal Wehrlein to end, with the Jaguar driver wanting to put it "to bed".
Da Costa partnered Wehrlein at Porsche from Season 9 at the start of the Gen3 era until the end of Season 11 last year, marking a three-year spell with the German manufacturer.
For the most part, the two Formula E champions got on well, until an incident at the 2024 São Paulo E-Prix.
An incident on the drivers' parade float ahead of the opening round last season sparked a feud between the pair, resulting in an uncomfortable and frosty environment within the Weissach-based outfit.
It created unwanted tension both in the garage and on track, an atmosphere that only intensified after the duo crashed in a Berlin practice session following a strange collision.
With Wehrlein on a long-term Porsche deal, da Costa felt it was up to him to fix the mood within the team by leaving to join Jaguar for the current campaign.
Ironically, Wehrlein and da Costa were the two race winners in Formula E's Jeddah double-header last time out, with both drivers very much title contenders.
Now in different teams and with both drivers in happier places, da Costa is keen to put an end to his difficulties with Wehrlein.
Asked how it feels to be out of the difficult environment at Porsche, da Costa explained to RacingNews365: "So when I was talking with my bosses last year and I requested to leave, we had a few chats and they asked why. One of my points was that I thought it was going to be better for them [Porsche] too.
"The environment in the garage wasn't nice and I knew Pascal wasn't going anywhere, so it was up to me to either make that environment better or not. In the end, we made that happen.
"I haven't had big chats with Pascal, to be honest, but I'm ready to put all of that stuff to bed. Not liking someone takes a lot of energy away from you, and I'm not that type of person. I'm not going to lie, last year was hard for me to deal with that situation.
"But as I've said, it's not about proving anybody wrong. I'm glad they keep having success. I have a lot of friends there, from mechanics to board members, so I enjoy seeing them do well.
"But yeah, I'm focused on myself, focused on my year, on my new family, and things are just rolling in such an easy and natural way that it just feels really good."
