Rafael Camara stormed to pole position for the F2 feature race at the Belgian Grand Prix, his fourth of the campaign, overcoming Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak and Alex Dunne in a damp-to-dry session with two red flag interruptions.
Championship leader Nikola Tsolov and John Bennett rounded out the top five at Spa-Francorchamps.
Dino Beganovic, Joshua Dürksen, Roman Bilinski, Martinius Stenshorne and Neol Leon completed the top 10, with the latter two drivers set to start the shorter sprint race from the front row, as part of the reverse grid.
Leon, however, is at risk of losing his best time, as the sole cause of a red flag five minutes into the session, which would elevate Sebastian Montoya.
The Campos Racing driver spun at the top of Radillion and stalled, but was able to bump-start his car by rolling backwards before getting going again.
Likewise, Laurens van Hoepen brought out the second red flag of the session, with under five minutes to go, having stopped off the racing line, just before the start/finish line.
The clock stopped at 3:26, and with a double-waved yellow being thrown beforehand, no one would be able to improve before the stoppage.
However, there would be time for the session to resume, with a one-lap shootout deciding matters.
