Charles Leclerc has ended the opening practice session from Las Vegas on top of the timesheets!
The first outing of the weekend was held in dusty conditions as the lap times tumbled while the circuit had rubber laid down.
Alex Albon ended the session in second place for Williams, leading a Red Bull duo in third and fourth respectively.
On this occasion, however, it was Yuki Tsunoda leading the way ahead of Max Verstappen.
Championship leader Lando Norris was sixth fastest but endured a challenging session with multiple off-road moments. He nevertheless ended up in front of team-mate Oscar Piastri in eighth.
