Charles Leclerc closed out the first day of the Australian Grand Prix with the fastest time to put Ferrari in the hunt for pole position in qualifying.
The Monégasque set a best effort of a 1:17.277 to head Red Bull's Max Verstappen by 0.381secs at Albert Park.
Carlos Sainz was third in the second Ferrari, almost half a second down on his teammate, with Aston Martin's Lance Stroll an impressive fourth.
His teammate Fernando Alonso was fifth, marginally faster than lead Mercedes driver George Russell and one of two Australians on the grid Oscar Piastri.
Sergio Perez's best was good enough for only eighth, with FP1's fastest driver Lando Norris in ninth and RB's Yuki Tsunoda 10th and the last of those within a second of the fastest time.
