Max Verstappen set a blistering early pace to finish fastest in Spanish Grand Prix FP1.
The Red Bull driver set a time of 1:14.606, a time 0.768s faster than teammate Sergio Perez as the drivers tackled the revamped final sector, which has had the slow chicane removed before the final corner.
Esteban Ocon carried through his form from Monaco to finish third fastest ahead of AlphaTauri's Nyck de Vries and Alpine teammate Pierre Gasly.
Fernando Alonso finished sixth-fastest with both Ferraris and George Russell all over a second slower than Verstappen's effort.
Lewis Hamilton could finish only 12th fastest in the second Mercedes in a session that also included a Pirelli Prototype tyre test.
