It's Max Verstappen who emerged victorious from a delayed and rain-affected Formula 1 Sprint at the Belgian Grand Prix.
The World Champion roared past Oscar Piastri on a Safety Car restart at Spa after the McLaren had undercut him after a switch to Intermediate tyres following a handful of formation laps owing to the wet conditions.
In the end, Verstappen cruised to a second Sprint win of the season and extend his points lead to 108 following Sergio Perez's retirement.
Pierre Gasly was third for Alpine with Lewis Hamilton fourth on the road, but a penalised seventh after a five-second penalty for contact with Perez.
Fernando Alonso also retired as Belgian GP pole-sitter Charles Leclerc was fifth.
