Carlos Sainz emerged from the rain quickest to top the sole practice session ahead of the 2023 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix.
With heavy rainfall at Spa-Francorchamps, the session saw only a handful of laps from each driver ahead of the planned Grand Prix Qualifying session at 17:00pm local time.
Early laps were completed on the full Wet tyres, before Sainz emerged on Intermediates to post a 2:03.207 attempt, 0.585s ahead of Oscar Piastri.
The session was red-flagged half-way through the 60 minutes following an off from Logan Sargeant at the Les Combes chicane.
