Zak Brown says his feud with Christian Horner is "geniune" and that he does not like how the Red Bull boss "rolls."

The two team principals enjoy a frosty relationship, with Brown recently suggesting Red Bull had made the wrong decision in promoting Liam Lawson over Yuki Tsunoda to its senior team for 2025.

During the latest series of Netflix's Drive to Survive, the relationship between the pair formed a central part of the 10-episodes, with Horner even describing Brown as a "prick" following a question in Bahrain in 2024 as Horner was subject to the investigation regarding alleged inappropriate behaviour, which he has always denied.

Another flashpoint between the pair came in 2022, when Red Bull broke the 2021 cost cap, with Brown penning an angry letter, claiming the breach "constitute cheating  by offering a significant advantage across technical, sporting and financial regulations."

That led to an awkward FIA press conference in the United States, with Horner rubbishing the claims, with Red Bull subsequently entering into an Accepted Breach Agreement with the FIA, although Brown later said the team, and Horner, had not taken responsibility for the overspend and simply made "excuses."

Addressing the situation with the Red Bull boss, the McLaren CEO felt the animosity was a good thing.

"Oh, it’s genuine,” Brown explained to The Telegraph of his supposed feud with Horner.

"There’s no love lost there. I don’t like how he rolls and no doubt he feels the same about me.

"But I think it’s good for the sport.

"You need different characters. You need these rivalries. Some are friendly, sporting rivalries.

"Some are a bit more vicious. It’s always been like that."
