Yuki Tsunoda has explained how he feared his "body was going to fall apart" during his multiple flip F1 accident at Imola.

During Q1 for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Tsunoda carried too much speed into the second chicane and spun out backwards into the gravel trap.

However, the momentum he was carrying meant he was flipped multiple times after hitting the catch-fencing, eventually coming to rest right-side up, but with a destroyed RB21.

He would start from the pit-lane, and actually go on to score a 10th-place finish, one of just four he has managed for Red Bull thus far, with his future for 2026 uncertain.

However, in the accident, the Japanese racer explained how he initially feared a serious injury.

"I thought my body was going to fall apart, both right and left," Tsunoda explained.

"I remember every single moment, which is good, but I saw the tyres going away, but my neck was completely fine, and I went racing the next day.

"It was quite a big impact, and fortunately I [wasn't injured].'
