Red Bull has opted to start Yuki Tsunoda from the pit lane for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Tsunoda suffered another wretched qualifying session, finishing 19th as wet conditions dominated at the Las Vegas Street Circuit.
Only Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton was slower as the seven-time F1 champion endured the worst qualifying of his F1 career based on pure pace alone.
In a bid to boost Tsunoda, the Japanese driver has been handed a new power unit for the 50-lap race.
Tsunoda's RB21 has taken on board a sixth internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H and MGU-K, when only four of each component are allowed for the season.
The team have also given him a new exhaust on his car, adding to the penalty list as, unusually, it is his ninth of the campaign, with only eight prescribed for the year.
Red Bull has also changed the rear-wing assembly, allowing them to make set-up changes more designed for a dry race.
