A dramatic day at Interlagos concluded with Valtteri Bottas taking pole position after he won the Sprint Qualifying race.

Bottas beat Max Verstappen off the line before controlling the remainder of the 24-lap encounter as the pair pulled away from the rest of the field.

Lewis Hamilton stormed through from the back of the grid, having been excluded from qualifying, to finish fifth. However, he still has to serve his five-place grid penalty for a new Internal Combustion Engine, so will start the Grand Prix in 10th.

Carlos Sainz fended off Sergio Perez on Saturday to start from third, with Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc making up the third row of the grid.

The Brazilian GP begins at 14:00 local time / 17:00 UK time, running for 71 laps.
