The much-discussed saga involving Mercedes' engine and its advantageous compression ratio has stolen headlines in the build-up to the season.
Mercedes had seemingly found a way to operate its engine with an 18:1 compression ratio, despite the regulations mandating a 16:1 ratio.
However, the FIA could only take measurements when the engine is at an ambient temperature, which Mercedes would also be able to comply with.
In an update to the technical regulations, the FIA will continue to test at cool temperatures until the end of May.
But from June 1, it will conduct checks at 130°C, which forces Mercedes to make changes to its engine.
Do you think the FIA should have intervened, or was it the wrong decision?
