Video: Ogier involved in road crash ahead of Sunday rally action

World Rally Champion Sebastien Ogier was involved in a bizarre road crash with a BMW on his way to start SS17.

Sebastien Ogier has been able to continue his participation in the Croatia Rally, after being involved in a road accident ahead of Sunday's stages.

Ogier was involved in a collision with a BMW on a section of road ahead of SS17, with fans recording the accident from the side of the road. The collision resulted in significant damage to the co-driver's side of the Toyota Yaris.

Ogier and Ingrassia escaped the crash uninjured, and were briefly held in place by the police before Ogier accelerated away. A statement has been made to police by a Toyota representative.
