Max Verstappen has delivered a clear verdict on a "big problem" facing Red Bull, one the Dutchman believes has resulted in laziness.
The four-time F1 champion returned to winning ways in the Japanese Grand Prix after converting a remarkable pole position into victory ahead of McLaren duo Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
Verstappen's success was also his fourth in a row at Suzuka, breaking the record for most consecutive wins at the circuit.
It resulted in huge celebrations from Red Bull and Honda, in what was the Japanese manufacturer's final home race in partnership with the F1 team.
The win was unexpected due to issues with the RB21 and a shock driver change between Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda prior to the event.
Red Bull opted for a driver swap following a difficult start to the season, triggering an emergency meeting after the Chinese Grand Prix.
Verstappen, who was present in some of the meetings, has revealed a major area of improvement for the team and its employees.
Speaking to Viaplay, and responding to a question over whether the in-house talks delivered what he wanted, Verstappen said: "Do you know what is a bit of the problem at the moment in the world?
"A lot of people, first of all, want to work from home and no longer at the factory. I think that's already a big problem because that makes you lazy.
"Then you're not fully occupied with what you have to do, because at home you're always more easily distracted anyway than when you're with colleagues at the factory.
"Sometimes it's nice, when you're at the factory then, to just look people in the eye. Then you can always convey a bit more information than what sometimes happens here, via a camera or a headset.
"I think that is sometimes very important to keep doing that - more old-school communicating."
