Alex Albon has extended his contract to stay at Williams in 2027, extending his long-term commitment to the team.
Albon is already the most experienced driver in Williams' F1 history, having reached 100 grand prix starts in Hungary since joining in 2022.
The Thai has been a key figure in the team's rebuild under James Vowles, and a series of fifth-places in 2025 allowed him to take eighth in the drivers' standings with Williams fifth - its highest showing since 2016.
However, the team has struggled in the first year of the new regulations, with the FW48 not as competitive as its predecessor, but Albon has renewed his commitment to stay at Grove for a sixth season in 2027.
"Since joining Williams F1 Team in 2022, the transformation this team has made is difficult to put into words," he said.
"One tough year doesn’t tell the full picture, and it only gives me more motivation to keep building and pushing together with the factory and our fans to achieve great things.
"Our story is not over yet, so my full focus now is on doing whatever it takes to get us back up the grid."
Boss Vowles added that Albon had been a "leader of the transformation" the team had undergone under his leadership.
"I am delighted that Alex and the Williams F1 Team are continuing our extraordinary journey together," he said.
"Alex has been a leader of this transformation project since day one, and we have plenty of unfinished business that we are determined to achieve.
"Alex is one of the best drivers on the grid and knows better than anyone the enormous improvements we have made in recent years – re-signing him shows the belief we both have in the direction we are heading."
The news comes after RacingNews365 understands that team-mate Carlos Sainz is also set to put pen to paper on a new contract of his own with a higher status with the team.
