After factoring in a host of grid penalties for several drivers, here is the provisional starting grid for the Belgian GP.

Max Verstappen had set the fastest time in qualifying, but having taken numerous new power unit components ahead of this weekend, he has been sent to the back of the grid.

However, the same punishment had been handed out to five other drivers and, because Verstappen had out-qualified all of them, he starts ahead of the remaining penalised drivers. He is provisionally set to start from P15.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc was the other key name to be sent to the back of the grid. He had been hoping to out-qualify the Red Bull driver at Spa-Francorchamps, but will start right behind him in P16.

Completing the list of drivers sent to the back of the grid are; Esteban Ocon (Alpine), Lando Norris (McLaren), Guanyu Zhou (Alfa Romeo) and Mick Schumacher (Haas).

The final driver with a penalty is the other Alfa Romeo of Valtteri Bottas, who received less of a punishment for changing fewer power unit parts than the other penalised drivers.

This means the Finn automatically starts at the head of the drivers with grid penalties, and puts him in P14 for the race.
