Charles Leclerc will start the Spanish Grand Prix from pole position, having set the fastest lap on his final attempt in Saturday's qualifying session.

The Monegasque made a mistake on his first run in Q3, but was able to go quickest of all within the last few minutes.

He will be joined on the front row by Max Verstappen, whose own efforts in qualifying were hampered by a DRS issue, while Ferrari's Carlos Sainz lines up in third.

The Mercedes duo of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton occupy P4 and P6 respectively, with Verstappen's Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, splitting them in fifth place.

Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso - who had originally qualified in 17th - will now start from the back of the grid after taking an engine change penalty.

The starting grid below is provisional until confirmed by F1's governing body, the FIA.
