Formula E is back this weekend for the start of its 11th season, which gets underway in São Paulo, Brazil.
The South American venue is the perfect place for the opening round, which in recent years has been held in Mexico City.
It is a big season for the all-electric series, with the fastest-accelerating FIA single-seater being introduced – capable of 0-60 mph in 1.82s.
The FE grid consists of 11 teams and 22 drivers, including an array of ex-F1 drivers, like reigning world champion Pascal Wehrlein, Nyck de Vries, Stoffel Vandoorne, Sébastian Buemi, Lucas di Grassi and Jean-Eric Vergne.
F2 race winner Zane Maloney is a rookie on the grid, with the recently rebranded Lola Yamaha ABT outfit. There is a second rebranded team, with ERT having become Kiro Race Co after a successful takeover.
David Beckmann and Taylor Barnard - despite previous FE race experience – are the other two rookies on the 2025 grid. It is a hugely talented grid, featuring some of the biggest manufacturers in the world, such as Jaguar, Porsche, Nissan, Stellantis, Mahindra and Lola.
S11 is expected to be the championship's closest and most competitive yet, with the title to be decided across 10 different cities and 16 rounds of racing.
