Both Red Bull-owned Formula 1 teams will participate in a special charity run on May 10th, utilising their factories.

Red Bull has long been associated with 'Wings for Life', a charity dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries, with the 'Wings for Life World Run' set to take place on Sunday, May 10th.

Both Red Bull at Milton Keynes and Racing Bulls at Faenza will have paths around their factories, with over 450 App Run Events taking place, with up to 300,000 participants expected to show up worldwide.

At events with physical locations, a 'Catcher Car' will be in use to 'catch' runners, which signifies the end of their race, whilst the moving finish line will be virtual for those taking part in the fundraiser on the app.

"I feel very privileged and honoured to be named an Ambassador of Wings for Life," said Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies.

"It’s a charity that is extremely close to our hearts at Red Bull Racing, founded by Dietrich Mateschitz. Together, we support the mission to find a cure for spinal cord injury.

"We will be hosting a Wings for Life World Run App Event on our Campus, open to our Team and members of the community, who will run around our factory for a cause that allows us to race with a purpose."

Racing Bulls chief executive Peter Bayer added that: "We’re proud to support the Wings for Life World Run and help raise funds for research to find a cure for spinal cord injuries."'

"By hosting App Run Events in Faenza and at the Red Bull Campus in Milton Keynes, we’re bringing together our team, employees, fans and local communities for a cause that truly matters. What makes this event special is its inclusivity — professional athletes, casual runners, beginners and wheelchair users can all take part, united by the same goal. Wherever people choose to run, every step helps move research forward and shows how sport can bring people together for something bigger."
