Red Bull has teased a potential change to its longstanding F1 car livery as it heads into its first season with American car giant Ford as its power unit partner.
Yesterday, the six-time constructors' champions announced it will reveal its 2026 look in Detroit, the home of Ford, in mid-January alongside sister outfit Racing Bulls.
In a social media post confirming the day, the 15th of that month, the team's old logo is clearly in view at the bottom of the image shared.
At the moment, the yellow sun and red bull of the team's logo are outlined in yellow (the same tone as the main emblem), but the announcement post used the old logo, with a thicker, white trim.
The Milton Keynes-based team has used its current livery, with minimal changes and the yellow-outlined mark, since 2016. The last car it raced with the older look was the RB11 in 2015.
Max Verstappen has been vocal in the past about wanting to see the Laurent Mekies-led team shake things up with its livery, something that has been widely supported amongst F1 fans.
There has been an element of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it', and the existing livery is a central pillar of Red Bull's strong brand identity and is synonymous with the team's recent successes with Verstappen.
However, the addition of Ford provides ample opportunity to change things up, which also coincides with the start of the dawn of a new day for F1, too.
