Red Bull has announced a series of organisational changes as it seeks to improve on a difficult start to the 2026 season.

The Milton Keynes-based squad has been unable to compete at the front of the grid across the opening three rounds of the campaign and currently sits sixth in the constructors' standings.

As it bids to improve its form, the team has announced alterations to its set-up effective immediately.

Ben Waterhouse will assume an expanded leadership role as chief performance and design engineer.

Through this position, he will have an “overarching responsibility across design and vehicle performance” and report to technical director Pierre Wache.

Waterhouse has been part of the Red Bull team since 2017, working as head of performance engineering.

Additionally, Red Bull has confirmed Andrea Landi in the role of head of performance, reporting to Waterhouse.

Landi will commence the role on July 1, bringing experience to the team after working at Ferrari and Racing Bulls.

The changes come shortly after the huge announcement from Red Bull that head of racing Gianpiero Lambiase will leave the team in 2028.

Addressing the new appointments, Red Bull stated that they “support the team’s long-term technical ambitions and reflect its continued focus on developing internal talent while attracting leading expertise from across the sport”.
