A press conference has been called for 20:00 local time (19:00 UK time) at the Nurburgring after a multi-car pile-up saw "several injured drivers" treated during the 24 Hours of Nurburgring Qualifiers Race 1.
The race was red-flagged soon after — at 17:55 local time, just 25 minutes into the race — and has not resumed.

It was later confirmed that a "rescue operation" was underway to attend to injured drivers at the scene. Further information can be found [HERE].
UPDATE: Racing driver Jula Miettinen has tragically lost his life in the crash. The race will not resume.
