Charles Leclerc snatched pole position for the Singapore Grand Prix, but Formula 1 championship leader Max Verstappen was only eighth quickest.
In a wet qualifying, drivers tried slicks in Q3, with Lewis Hamilton holding advantage after the first runs.
However, both Leclerc and Sergio Perez leapfrogged the Mercedes - who still got his first top three start of the season.
As for Verstappen, he was told to abort his final lap - maybe with fuel worries.
