Australian burger restaurant Grill'd, a major sponsor of Oscar Piastri's, has released a comical statement apologising for creating an incredible burger.
In question is a limited edition Piastri special, which sees customers receiver a free 'bonus' burger when the McLaren driver claimed a podium.
Piastri partnered up with the burger joint ahead of the current season, but is enduring a five-race streak without a rostrum.
Grill'd re-introduced the offer in September, although the rules surrounding it were considerably altered due to Piastri's current form.
The limited edition deal is now sold simply whenever Piastri competes in a grand prix, with fans having taken to social media to claim that the driver is suffering from a "burger curse".
In a bizarre turn of events, Grill'd has issued a statement regarding the claims on social media and stressed it fully backs the 24-year-old.
The burger joint's statement on Instragram read: "To everyone who believes in the 'Curse', we'd like to apologise. To you, and to F1 fans everywhere.
"We never meant to create a burger so delicious it could change the course of F1 history. So yes, we're sorry. Sorry our burgers slap that hard.
"Sure, we can take a joke about a curse – but let's be real, we'd never bet against a guy like Oscar Piastri. He's our homegrown Aussie hero, and we'll always be in his corner.
"Today, tomorrow and forever – we've got your back, Oscar. Team Grill'd."
